Lighting Design and Control

What’s wrong with a simple light switch?

Lighting is one of the most overlooked and under-appreciated parts of a home.

Good lighting can transform a good interior design scheme into something exceptional.

However getting the correct lighting installed to achieve this is only half of the job.

To really transform a property the lighting needs to be controlled intelligently.

Are these things expensive?

Whilst there’s no hiding from the costs of installing these systems they can save you money in the long run.

By reducing the maximum output of your light fittings to 85% you can get some significant savings in energy usage as well as prolonging the life of the lamps.

And reducing the lamps maximum output won’t have any noticeable effect on how bright things look.

Can these systems be retro-fitted?

It is always easier to install these systems when a property is being built or refurbished. However it is also possible, within reason, to retro-fit them into a finished home.

This can usually be done without the need to run new wires and with minimum disruption. New backboxes will need to be installed but this is not normally a problem.
